The Trails is a west Frisco community just north of Main Street between Highway 423 and Teel Parkway. It sits just south of The Fairways and north of Westfalls Village, just minutes to Lake Crossing shopping center and the Teel Village shopping center. The Weldon Corbell elementary school and the Wilma Fisher elementary school are both located within the community and sitting just outside is the Robert Cobb middle school.

This collection of about 600 homes was constructed between 1999 and 2010. Lot sizes are typically 10,000 ft.² up to one-third of an acre with a variety of on-site amenities, home styles, and pricing. Many of the homes feature beautiful golf course views of The Trails Golf Club. As the name suggests, there are miles of walking, hiking, and biking trails intertwined throughout the community and the homes. You'll find residents walking their dogs, riding around on their personal golf carts on the trails and the neighborhood streets, kids playing and riding their bikes, or exercise enthusiasts taking in a morning jog.

The Trails Amenities

The Trails offers a variety of amenities for residents including the Golf course, a neighborhood swimming pool, multiple tennis courts, neighborhood parks, small lakes, a green belt, and children's playgrounds.  There are two pools, one toward the north end of the community called the Plateau Pool of the Trails and the larger one southeast of here, which also offers the playground and tennis courts and is next door to the Fisher elementary school. The Trails has its own homeowner association and dues are approximately $50-$150 per month based on the size and style of the home and where it's located. Annual fees are typically around $700 and residents have full use of the facilities, maintenance of common areas, and management fees.

The Homes at The Trails

All homes are single-family detached properties, many of which have their own backyard swimming pools, a variety of lot sizes, and homes from 2 to 5 bedrooms, 2000 ft.² to 3500 ft.² and primarily two-story brick design. Properties range from $380,000-$600,000 based on size, location, and condition.

Services and Nearby

Not only do residents love The Trails for its low homeowner association dues, miles of trails, and lots of amenities, but the location is ideal. It's extremely close to Teel Village at the corner of Main Street and Teel Parkway featuring a variety of shops and restaurants such as gas stations, the Community Grill, markets, sushi, the post office, the main Street Village shopping Mall, Kroger, fast food options, and the Teel Crossing II.

However, head west toward the intersection of Main Street and Highway 423 and you'll find another town center with Main Marketplace shopping mall, fantastic Indian food, sonic take-out, banks, restaurants, markets, car dealerships, and a few churches. Most residents in The Trails are no more than about five minutes for most services and amenities.

The Trails Schools

Depending on where the property is located, school-age elementary students are assigned to either the Fisher elementary school or the Weldon Corbell elementary school. Middle schoolers attend the Robert Cobb middle school right across Teel Parkway from The Trails and high schoolers attend Wakeland high school less than 2 miles away. All these schools are in the coveted Frisco ISD.
