Highland Park is a small suburban town located just to the north of Dallas, Texas. With a metropolitan city such as Dallas only 7 miles away, you have all the conveniences and experiences a city such as Dallas provides, without living directly in the hustle and bustle of the city. Highland Park offers primarily single-family homes, however, there are a few rare townhouses, apartments and even condos that are scattered throughout the community. One of the biggest features of Highland Park is the historical homes within. You can find stunning homes that were constructed back in the 1920’s that have received beautiful upgrades and renovations while still holding their historic charm. Homes within Highland Park can be purchased in the low $200,000s for smaller homes and condominiums, whereas the larger more historic estates can reach upwards of 10 million. 

Schools 

Students within Highland Park will attend one of two districts. The Highland Park Independent School Districtor the Dallas Independent School District. The majority of students will attend the Highland Park district, which provides many different public-school campuses for K-12. The Highland Park Independent School District has received an overall “A+” rating from Niche.com and received perfect scores in nearly every grading category including, Academics, Teachers, Clubs & Activities, Administrations, Collee Prop, Health & Safety, Sports and so much more. 

For additional recourses, the Highland Park Public Library is located within Highland Park and provides a safe and quiet space for students to study and excel in their learning. Higher education options range widely as many college campuses can be found nearby, however; the closest campus is currently Southern Methodist University which is located just across the northern border of Highland Park.  

Shopping & Nearby 

Highland Park is known primarily as a bedroom community; however, you can find many different shopping, dining, and entertainment options within the surrounding area. Highland Park is home to one shopping center, Highland Park Village which features shops such as DIOR Dallas, Escada, Royal Blue Grocery, as well as dining options such as The Honor Bar and Café Pacific. For entertainment needs within Highland Park, you can spend time at one of the many parks within the cities borders, one of the most popular features being Turtle Creek which runs through the center of town. The Dallas Country Club is a great place to practice your swing with friends or family, or you can visit the Highland Park Village Theatre for a day spent at the cinema.
