More About Frisco Texas

Frisco is a small city in Texas located just 25 minutes north of the metropolitan city of Dallas. Home to 7 different professional sports teams, different venues and sports pavilions scatter the city providing fun for all ages. Museums, an art district, central park, and retailers are a few of the many reasons so many choose to call Frisco, home. The Dallas North Tollway runs directly through the center of Frisco ensuring that residents can easily travel for both pleasure and occupational needs. Directly to the West of the cities border is Lewisville Lake where you can enjoy a weekend of camping, fishing, hiking, boating and more.  


Frisco is a part of one of the best school districts within the whole state. The Frisco Independent School District provides nearly 70 different public-school campuses ranging from Elementary to High School, each of which is highly noted and recognized within the community for academic achievements. The district is known for providing students with exceptional educations, clubs and activities, as well as providing college prep courses to older students. As a whole, the district has received an “A+” rating according to, the highest rating possible according to their scoring standards. 

In addition to grade school, Frisco is also home to many different higher education and college campuses. Collin College, Amberton University, The University of Dallas Carrollton campus, and more can all be found within Frisco, ensuring that students of all ages are able to learn and excel. 

Shopping & Nearby 

When choosing to call Frisco home there is no shortage of shopping, dining or entertainment. From indoor skydiving, to a stroll through art galleries, you can find it all within the city of Frisco. With beautiful Texas Summer’s, there is plenty of outdoor space and you can spend afternoons or evenings strolling one of the many parks where you can find open fields, hiking trails, and more.  

A unique feature of Frisco is it’s growing museum district. While the Museum of the American Railroad is a local favorite, other museums such as the Sci-Tech Discovery Center, and the national Videogame Museum are also becoming wildly popular. 

When it comes to shopping and dining, Frisco offers more than 9 million square feet of retail space ensuring all of your shopping needs are not only met but exceeded. Downtown Frisco’s Main Street is lined with different mom and pop style stores, boutiques as well as locally owned restaurants. To support both local and small businesses you can visit the Frisco Fresh Market which has a farmers market feel and provides multiple different offerings from handmade items to farm fresh vegetables.
