Creekbend Estates Neighborhood in Plano
Creekbend Estates is a residential neighborhood located in South Central Plano. This is a great neighborhood for its nicely sized homes on sizable lots. Homes are within the Plano ISD school district and are within walking distance of one of the best trail systems in Plano connecting to several of Plano's best parks. Additionally there is quick and easy access to major roadways that connect into larger areas including the Dallas area.
Things to Do Near Creekbend Estates
Chisholm Trail Park
The Chisholm Trail Park is a paved walking trail that winds multiple miles connecting several parks in Plano. It whines along the banks of the Chisholm Creek which makes up the western border of the Creekbend Estates neighborhood. Residents living within the neighborhood can easily walk from their homes to this popular casual trail and be connected to several parks near the neighborhood. It is a popular spot in Central Plano to go for a bike ride. Parks on the trail include Big Lake Park, Harrington Park, South-Central Community Park, and Jack Carter Dog Park. This trail also connects with the Bluebonnet Trail at Jack Carter Park.
Big Lake Park
Big Lake Park is a popular community park in Plano centered around the lake for which it is named. This park only permits non-motorized watercraft and is a great place for kayaks, canoes, and stand-up paddle boarding. The lake is also a great place for swimming on hot days. In addition to the lake is a play structure and picnic areas and of course the Chisholm Park Trail.
Harrington Park
Harrington Park is located at W. 16th St. and offers a pavilion, playground, and connection to the Chisholm Trail Park. There are currently locations in the works for this park to improve the park including the practice field for community sports programs.
Jack Carter Park and Dog Park
Jack Carter Park is a larger and prominent community park of Plano. The park includes space for everyone as well as designated space for off leash furry friends. The human portion of the park includes a play area for children from age 2 to 12 of all abilities to be able to enjoy many different modes of play, picnic areas, a pond, restrooms, sand volleyball pets, and connects through several different trail systems including the Chisholm Trail. The dog park is one of the most popular in the area and has several different features to keep dogs happy while meeting up with other furry friends.
Shops at Legacy
The Shops at Legacy is one of the most popular shopping areas in Plano. This outdoor shopping plaza offers several retailers, dining of all types, nightlife sparks, and great entertainment venues. It is the place to be to find the best upscale restaurants in Plano as well as fast and casual dining.
Collin Creek Shopping Center
Collin Creek was one of the first main shopping centers in the county. It is centrally located in Plano. Eric currently plans to revive the shopping area with brand new stores and residential housing. The idea is to make it a central hub of Plano gathering.
