Indoor Playgrounds in Plano
The weather in Plano is pretty agreeable but at certain times of the year, it can get chilly or pretty hot. Sometimes we do even get a bit of rain. On these days, especially if they are ones that your kids are out of school, you might be looking for some indoor activities to keep your kids from running wild all over your Plano home.
Plano has some great indoor playgrounds/ play spaces to enjoy when the weather is less than ideal. It can even be a good way to meet new kids in the area. Check out these indoor fun zones for an action-packed day of fun inside.
For younger kids aged 10 months to 8 years and their adults. This is a soft play area that describes itself as an "edutainment" experience. There is free play and organized play as well as birthday party options. There is always something new and exciting to take part in. A regular one hour of play every day is $14.99. A 2-hour pass on the weekend is $16.99. Adding an additional hour to your play is $4.99. It is good to note that no shoes are permitted in the play space. Children and their adult guests must play in socks.
Safari Run is a huge play structure inside. Think of it like the fast food play place increased to 10 times the size. The playground is for kids of all ages one and older but adults and kids under one can play for free with a child's paid admission. No outside food is permitted, but there is a snack bar with a variety of yummy and healthy foods. All people in the play structure must wear socks.
The Safari Run playground is only open for general play on the weekdays and hours vary so they advise you to check the calendar for that day before coming. It can get pretty busy when the weather is harsh so plan to go early, the structure is first come first serve. Parties are hosted on weekends.
Kid Mania in Plano offers indoor play spaces for kids of all ages and offers separate spaces for toddlers to safely play in their own area. Prices for play are dependent upon the age of the child and the area being utilized. In addition to the massive play spaces are a game room with an arcade and a snack bar. All kids must wear socks to play. If you need a quiet place to retreat from the playground they also have a room just for adults with windows overlooking the playground to check on older kids. No outside food or drink is allowed.
The Playstreet Museum is for younger kids aged 1-8. The indoor play center has an outdoor theme which is great for helping kids feel like they get to have some time outside. Playtime is by reservation only on the weekdays. There are five play sessions per day. Adults and older siblings are welcome to play with younger guests. The museum also hosts nighttime special events and parties.
This local church has a play structure that they open to the public for kids 10 and under to play for free on weekdays from 10 am to 4 pm.
The Shops at Willow Bend shopping mall has a newly renovated play space for toddlers in the middle of the mall corridor. They also are home to the Crayola Experience a fun place to enjoy great activities inside.
