Frisco’s Getting A Universal Studios!
Have you considered making Frisco your new home? If there ever was a time to make the move, it's now! The residents of Frisco have recently been notified of big developments coming to their homes. Frisco will soon be getting a massive economic and tourist development besides the already existing places such as The Star. New developments mean that the demand for this area is continuing, and demand can lead to an increase in pricing for the housing market.
So what is this new big development you may ask?
Frisco’s Getting A Universal Studios!
Frisco will be home to the newest Universal studios which is said to be unlike any other in existence. Although it will be different you can rest assured that there will be similar attractions to the parks we already love and know. The main focus of this new park is family. The name being tossed around is, Universal Kids Frisco. This park will focus on attractions and rides that are family-friendly so that even young children can enjoy them. Rumor has it that characters may include the Minions, Kung Fu Panda, and even Super Mario Brothers. The focus along with the choice of Frisco as the location is no surprise after the rise in population growth and family lifestyle over the past few years.
Although we don't know the specific plans yet, the new park has been conceptualized to have a luscious landscape with themed lands that represent well-loved characters and stories. The park will be smaller compared to its others however, it will boast the same quality. You will notice that these themes will be geared toward younger kids, specifically 12 and under, so the design and entertainment will heavily reflect this.
Speaking of the size of the park, the company already purchases 97 acres of land and within that are plans for a hotel and a park expansion. The land is near the Dallas North Tollway and Panther Creek Parkway. This was all purchased because of Frisco growing popularity and family-friendly atmosphere. The plan is that the park will be a one to two-day adventure for families. It will be primarily a regional destination, but as word gets out, you can bet that some will travel to vacation here.
“It’s big enough that everyone will have a great time but not so big that children get exhausted by the end of the day,” said Page Thompson, President, of New Ventures, Universal Parks & Resorts
Although this exciting news has been announced there are still details being worked out regarding tax breaks and infrastructure. The park opening is still several years away and the initial opening will only use about 1/3 of the purchased land.
"That gives us plenty of room to build a park, this themed hotel featuring universal characters, parking areas and still have lots of room for a lush landscape buffer as well as lots of space for a thoughtful exit and entrance plan,” Thompson said.
In Conclusion
As we look forward to this new theme park and all it has to offer, now is the time to buy or sell in Frisco. Whether it is your primary residence or a vacation home, contact us. We would love to help you call Frisco, TX your new home!
